The Parvis de St Gilles area is trendy, full of artists and young professionals. Named after the stately church square,  the Parvis, this has become a car free zone hosting a daily market. Our residents enjoy the  many cafés and restaurants with terraces that spill out over the cobblestones. Our favorite market stalls are to be found on Saturdays.

The Chatelain, Ixelles: Bourgeois Chic

Sophisticated and chic, the Chatelain is popular with expats as it has Brussels’ best specialty boutiques, cute restaurants and a popular weekly market. Although Ixelles is a huge municipality, the Chatelain is one of its most desirable areas. It’s Wednesday afternoon market has a great selection of food trucks, check out our top tips. The market transforms into an After Work event with many professionals coming straight from the office, to enjoy some food and drinks.  Within a short radius of the Morton Place Chatelain is a city supermarket, gym, bike share station and tram stop. Three stops away are the Place Stephanie with its movie theaters, luxury boutiques and the avenue Louise business district.

Le Quartier Louise, Brussels

The chic avenue Louise is where Brussels’ upmarket shopping starts with famous brands such Louis Vuitton, Dior and Tiffany’s to name a few. More affordable options such as Zara and the multi-brand Belgian department store INNO are all within walking distance of our Morton Place Louise home.  Apart from the shopping, there are cinemas, restaurants and upmarket hotels. Drinks on the rooftop the The Hotel are a nice way to end a shopping day or to unwind after a film. Numerous businesses and law firms have their headquarters in this area which is a stone’s throw from the Commission and Parliament.
